Fuel Saving Tips
Hint:
• Tire pressure: if tire pressure is insufficient, which will lead to the larger fuel consumption with the increasing of drive resistance; on the contrary, properly inflating tire to the value within regulated range will be favorable for reducing fuel consumption. (GW Peri: front tire pressure: 230±5kpa , rear tire pressure: 220±5kpa ).
• Tire Tread: specific fuel consumption is different due to tread type, the tire used by Great Wall company is designed based on the road condition in China, please select the tire recommended..
• Four-Wheel Alignment: keep accurate wheel alignment parameter can ensure the lower fuel consumption.
• Running Environment: it will be more helpful for reducing fuel consumption if the time , when engine is at idle or running with low shift gear on, takes up less of the whole running period. So that’s why fuel consumption is always at a high level while driving on urban roads.
• Road Condition: the larger the resistance from road surface, the more the road condition of downhill or uphill is, the larger the fuel consumption is. so please try to drive on paved, flat road.
• Vehicle Load: the reduction of unnecessary load will contribute to reduce fuel consumption.
• Smooth Accelerating: instantaneous fuel consumption when rapidly sudden accelerating is the double of that during smooth accelerating, so please avoid sudden accelerating and braking
• Moderate Vehicle Velocity:
• Make economical vehicle velocity clear, the fuel consumption becomes bad in economy if vehicle velocity is too high or too low(economical vehicle velocity of GW peri: 90km/h)
• Engine: if poor technical working condition of engine will lead to the falling of engine power and waste of much fuel
• Brake System : check to ensure that brake system has no delaying and blockage symptom.
• Viscosity of gear oil: replacing the gear oil in manual transmission and differential with the lower grade in viscosity during lower-temperature ambient will redound to fuel saving.
• Coefficient of windage resistance: the ingredient of damage on vehicle exterior appearance and malfeasance refitting could get the coefficient increased causing higher fuel consumption.
